Cookie Policy
Last Updated: February 2025
We believe you deserve to know exactly how your data gets used when you visit our website. This page explains what tracking methods we use at nextsenselogic.com and gives you real control over your preferences.
We're not lawyers, so this is written in plain language. If something seems unclear, reach out and we'll explain it better.
Your Cookie Preferences
Checking your current preferences...
You can decline all non-essential tracking right now. Essential cookies (needed for the site to work properly) will remain active, but everything else gets removed from your browser.
What We Track and Why
When you visit nextsenselogic.com, we collect certain information to understand how people use our site and to improve your experience. Here's what happens behind the scenes.
Essential Cookies
These keep the website functioning. Without them, basic features like security and navigation won't work. You can't disable these through this page.
Analytics Cookies
We use these to see which pages get visited most, where people click, and how long they stay. This helps us understand what content actually matters to you.
Marketing Cookies
These track whether you arrived from an ad or a partner site. They help us understand which outreach efforts bring people to us and what content resonates.
The Essential Ones We Can't Turn Off
Why Some Cookies Are Required
Our site needs certain cookies to function securely. These handle things like keeping you logged into contact forms, remembering your language preference, and protecting against security threats.
If we could run the site without them, we would. But modern web security and basic functionality depend on these.
Data Collection Methods
Beyond cookies, we use a few other tracking methods. Here's what they are and what they do.
Browser Information
We collect basic technical details about your browser and device (like screen size, operating system, browser type). This helps us make sure the site displays correctly for everyone who visits.
IP Address Logging
Your IP address gets logged when you visit. We use this to detect suspicious activity and prevent abuse. We don't track your physical location beyond the general region (like "Taiwan" rather than your specific street).
Form Interactions
When you fill out contact forms or download resources, we track that activity. This helps us follow up appropriately and understand which services generate the most interest.
Session Recording
We occasionally use session replay tools to watch how people navigate the site (mouse movements, clicks, scrolling). This is anonymized and helps us spot usability problems. If you've declined analytics cookies, these recordings don't happen.
How Your Data Actually Gets Used
Here's the practical reality of what we do with the information we collect. No corporate speak, just the truth.
| Data Type | Purpose | Retention Period |
|---|---|---|
| Page visits and navigation | Understanding which content matters to our audience | 26 months |
| Contact form submissions | Following up with potential clients and tracking inquiry sources | 36 months |
| Marketing campaign data | Measuring which outreach efforts bring qualified leads | 24 months |
| Technical logs (IP, browser) | Security monitoring and abuse prevention | 12 months |
| Cookie consent preferences | Remembering your tracking choices | 12 months |
Who Else Sees This Data
We use third-party services to help run our site and analyze traffic. These companies process data on our behalf:
- Google Analytics: Website traffic analysis and user behavior patterns
- Cloud hosting provider: Stores website files and handles technical infrastructure
- Email service provider: Manages contact form submissions and follow-up communications
These services have their own privacy policies. We've vetted them, but you should know they process data according to their own terms.
Managing Your Preferences
You've got several options for controlling tracking on our site. Here's how each one works.
Using the Decline Button Above
The simplest option is clicking "Decline All Non-Essential Cookies" at the top of this page. This removes analytics and marketing cookies from your browser and saves your preference so we remember your choice on future visits.
Browser-Level Controls
Every modern browser lets you block cookies entirely or delete them manually. The exact steps vary by browser, but you'll usually find these settings under "Privacy" or "Security" in your browser's settings menu.
Keep in mind that blocking all cookies might break some website functionality. Essential cookies are called essential for a reason.
Do Not Track Signals
If your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal, we respect it. Most modern browsers support this feature in their privacy settings.
Mobile Device Settings
Both iOS and Android let you limit ad tracking through system settings. On iOS, look for "Limit Ad Tracking" under Privacy settings. On Android, check "Opt out of Ads Personalization" in Google settings.
Data Retention and Deletion
We don't keep your data forever. Here's our approach to how long information stays in our systems.
Automatic Deletion Schedules
Most data gets automatically deleted after the retention periods listed in the table above. Analytics data expires after 26 months. Contact inquiries stay in our system for 36 months (in case we need to reference previous conversations).
Requesting Manual Deletion
Want us to delete your data before the automatic expiration? Send an email to [email protected] with "Data Deletion Request" in the subject line. Include enough detail for us to identify your records (email address, approximate date of contact, etc.).
We'll process deletion requests within 30 days. Some data might need to stay longer for legal or security reasons, but we'll explain if that applies.
What Stays Behind
Even after deletion, some aggregated statistics remain. For example, we might know "50 people visited our services page in March 2025" without knowing who those specific people were. Aggregated data doesn't identify individuals.
Changes to This Policy
We update this policy when our tracking methods change. The "Last Updated" date at the top shows when we last made changes.
If we make significant changes to how we collect or use data, we'll post a notice on our homepage for at least 30 days. For minor updates (like clarifying existing language), we'll just update this page.
Check back occasionally if you care about staying current. We don't send notifications for policy updates unless they're major.
